Rock Baby Onesie Personalized

Notes from the artist :
This little shirt is inspired by my baby who seems to love Justin Timberlake and Hanna Montana music. Every times it comes on in the car she stops yelling at me and starts dancing. So I designed her a shirt to celebrate that she is a rock baby. I love making things personalized for my baby, like burp cloths that match her blankets and shirts with her name on them.

Blue Pebbles on a Pearly Sand

Notes from the artist :
This necklace is truly unique. I like making lasso type necklaces. They allow for a nice low drop and an asymmetrical design, but I haven't made any in awhile because they tend to move up to the neckline and some people don't like that. This necklace has a clasp built into the main body of the piece so that I have all the benefits of a lasso design, without the sliding. The pearls around the chalcedony are on wires, so that they rise up and surround the base of the chalcedony, giving the look that the chalcedony is embedded in the pearls. I like it so much I made one for myself.

Description :
Beautiful sky blue chalcedony faceted briolettes emerge from a bed of fresh water pearls in white, grey, light blue, and magenta. The sterling silver lobster clasp attaches to a clasp embedded in the middle of the bed of pearls and chalcedony. The necklace is seventeen inches to the clasp and sits close to the neck. The total length is 19.75".

Sterling Silver Seashell Pendant with chain

Notes from the artist :
This seashell pendant is cast from sterling silver. The original model was made by me with a real seashell, and is made using the lost wax casting process.

This piece has a nice organic feel and is one of my favorite necklaces. Each pendant is signed on the back with my initials, and includes a 16" sterling ball chain.

Comfort Food

Notes from the artist :

This print was inspired by my sister's stay at The Children's Hospital in Boston -- we ate a lot of free ice cream! At 22 she went there for hip surgery due to a dislocated hip when she was a baby. I was just so touched by how well they treated her and how they "fixed" her, I wanted to do something back as a thank you and to honor my younger sister -- of all three of us sisters, she has spent more time in hospitals...happy to say, she is doing well...

The print is a five color serigraph in an edition of 18."

Multi Function Yarn Bag and Beanie

Notes from the artist :
It's a yarn bag that doubles as a beanie!

I love this bag because it can serve so many purposes and is very bright and colorful. It would also make a fantastic Easter Egg bag for a child!

The green is appropriate for a St. Patrick's day feature, and I'm very happy to share it with all of you!

French Beaded Orchids

Notes from the artist :
These are my phalaenopsis orchids, the first flowers I have ever made.

Orchids represent rare beauty, love, refinement, and long life. I made these orchids using the vintage art of French beading, in which thousands of seed beads are strung onto flexible wire and shaped into flower parts. These parts come to life when the are first bound together with floral tape and then with embroidery thread.

My inspiration and passion to make beaded flowers comes from real flowers and nature.

St Pattys Concave Trashion Shamrock pop art earrings with red stripes

Notes from the artist :
What do you get when you combine an Irish holiday with a shamrock and empty mountain dew can? st patty’s pop art earrings!

These very dangly earrings are also lightweight made by hand from recycled aluminum soda pop cans by me and my dear husband and hung from Sterling Silver ear wires. The edges are lovingly filed for smoothness.

Dangling art with a social conscience!
What more could you ask for?

Ukrainian Pysanky Duck Egg Etched and Dyed with a Heart and Star Quilt Pattern

Notes from the artist :
To begin this quilt design, I waxed on the duck egg using a small funnel called a kistka. Duck eggs are much larger than the eggs at the market. They are smooth like porcelain so it is a delightful surface to work on. Then I put the egg in an acid bath and etched it back until I could feel a raised surface. Next,I dipped it in a quick raspberry wash of a permanent dye.

The quilt patten features a heart on one side, a star on the other and the appearance of stitching vertically in the belt. The result is a subtle quilt design of lucious raspberry. You can actually feel the texture with your finger.

To assure durability, I dipped it into a strong varathane with a gloss finish. There is a small hole in the bottom so I will include a wire stem or if you would prefer, I can attach a finding on the top for hanging.

Laci

Notes from the artist :
The necklace is made with a glass Citrine Quartz carved flower that is hugged with little Cherry Quartz rondelles.

I used blackened wire and chain to make the two colors really pop. This is one of my favorite pieces because I love the way the colors compliment each other.

I try to keep my pieces feminine, I love flowers, butterflies and pretty colors. Most of my pieces look best worn with a neutral outfit to let the accessories shine.

My style of design for my cards is focused on being bright, colourful and cheery as I would love to be able to bring joy and excitement to whoever receives it. I am always on the look out for various materials to be used on my cards.

For this card, I have used punches to create the flowers and purple ribbons to dress up the card to give that final touch of completeness to it.

I love to make cards and hope you will enjoy browsing through my cards.

Fun, swirly, gemstone and wood bead necklace with dichro pendent

Notes from the artist :
My name is Stacy, and I love making beaded jewerly because it never gets boring.

I love that I will always have such a wide range of materials to choose from. I also love it because I have a desire to use my creative energy to produce a finished creation that I can share.

I expected that selling on etsy would allow me to use this creative energy, and my suspicions were correct, but I didn't count on all the creativity required in running a shop. I really have had to spend a lot of time perfecting photos and descriptions through trial and error.

Though making the listings can be a bit tedious, I have really come to enjoy photographing my jewelry. I have learned to use different angles and backgrounds to bring out the best features of my jewelry.

Selling on etsy is a continuing creative process that I have really enjoyed.

Description :
This lovely handcrafted gemstone necklace was made using large swirly patterned wood beads, yellow (dyed) freshwater pearls, small green turquoise nuggets, blue goldstone chips, red jasper chips, 2mm silver plate smooth rounds, 6mm carnelian rounds, 6mm citrine glass rounds, and orange and green glass seeds.

The brightly colored gemstones and bead choices complement the very colorful silver and dichroic glass pendent. The necklace is 183/4 inches long and is finished with a silver tone barrel clasp.

The turquoise, freshwater pearls, carnelian and jasper are all genuine. Goldstone is a man made stone. The pendent uses genuine silver.

Floral Mix

Notes from the artist :
My shop features felted treasures that are first crocheted or knit with wool and then processed through several washings to bind the fibers together and shrink the item.

I think that this piece reflects what possibilities can be made from wool.

Baby Leather Booties Size 12-24 Months

Notes from the Artist:
The best shoe for a baby is a soft shoe and these booties are super soft! They are constructed from reclaimed leather, so no two are ever quite alike.

The uppers are elasticized to ensure a good fit and then when you are holding your baby, everyone will see the cute cutout on the bottom of the foot.
